Session Notes From its October Meeting

The church barbeque on September 26 was meaningful for those attending. It was agreed to try to hold similar fellowship events more frequently, and to seek people with gifts in events planning and hospitality to assist

The first of our monthly Saturday afternoon hymn sing services occurred on September 25 and was well received. The next will be on October 23 at 2:30 pm

We have a need for someone to lead our social media and communications processes. Session is developing a position description and skills requirements and hours of work

Session wishes to welcome all to attend worship, regardless of their Covid anxiety level. Social distancing in the sanctuary is aided by the roping off of some of the rear pews. Our greeters will continue to wear masks and we encourage unvaccinated persons to attend and to wear a mask out of respect for others. Masks and hand sanitizer are available upon entry to the church

The Willing Hearts Appeal garnered almost $6,000 in cash plus $5,000 of donations in kind. Your Board of Managers has repaired the roof mounted HVAC unit which was not functioning and converted all exterior lighting to LED

Our Alpha program is progressing well, with approximately 25 young adults participating

We are planning an Opportunities To Serve Sunday for November 7. Various church ministry teams and groups will have information tables in the narthex for coffee time. Here is your chance to connect and use your gifts in service 

A catechism class is being readied to introduce new Christians to the reformed theology of our denomination. If you would like to attend, please contact Ross Bassingthwaighte or Pastor Emery

Walter Dionne has decided to retire as a serving Elder effective at the end of the year. We acknowledge and thank Walter for his many years of faithful service as an Elder
