A Family Life couples’ enrichment weekend will occur at Mountainview on October 14 (evening) and 15 (morning/lunch). This Christian retreat will be facilitated and is based on a Focus on the Family program. Cost is $50 per couple
Baptism of Eva Chan approved for August 21 at Okanagan Lake following the worship service
Pastor Emery will preach through the Gospel of Mark commencing in the Fall
Approval in principle for a Fall special fundraising appeal
A Children’s Ministry Team has been formed under the leadership of Jen Choi. Curriculum for the Fall is being evaluated. A job description for a part-time Children’s Ministry Coordinator staff position is under development, hopefully to include outreach to Thrive kids and families
The monthly hymn sing service will resume Saturday September 24
We are exploring ways to better integrate our Young Adults Ministry and our Sunday worship service with Rev. Todd Statham’s UBCO campus ministry
A Nominating Team has been formed to commence the process of seeking additional Elders to serve on Session. As part of the process, the congregation will be invited to submit nominations
The renovated Fireside Room will be dedicated at or following the September 18 worship service
Use of the church was approved for a weekly small group of families in a Christ-centered homeschool co-op. This is subject to Board of Managers finding suitable space availability
