Session meeting - October 2023
Session welcomed Jin Choi as a newly ordained elder
Membership Sunday will be on October 22, 2023.
The Search Committee for a Community Outreach Coordinator has been working diligently and hopes to present viable candidates to the next meeting.
Session discussed moving the time for Sunday worship on December 24, 2023, which is Christmas Eve, from 10:00 AM to late afternoon or early evening.
The Board of Managers wisely suggested developing a long-term vision for the use of the physical space of Mountainview. Session concurred and thought that this would be a good subject to work on during a retreat to be planned sometime in Spring 2024.
A Friday worship evening will begin very soon. The plan is to continue these on the first Friday of every month.
It is time for a church potluck dinner! We will have one on November 25 and it will begin with a Gingerbread House Building Contest. Details to be arranged.
Session meeting - November 2023
The worship team is growing. The first Friday worship evening will be on December 1, 2023 at 7 PM, open to all, led by Jason and Christina.
Thrive Mission Sunday is on November 19, and the Thrive Gala on December 4.
The Hymn Sing saw a turnout of about 20 people.
The next Session meeting in December will focus on small groups and the 2024 budget.
